Join the campaign for rational regulation of c*nn*bis in the Czech Republic. We, the Rational Regulation Association, are behind it and are raising money for media and educational activities. You can also help with your support. Thank you. Let’s stop being afraid of c*nn*bis, let’s talk about c*nn*bis. IT’S OK!
It’s about c*nn*bis
You want to put an end to prohibition? Stop locking people up for growing the plant? Create a smartly regulated market? Does the c*nn*bis debate seem censored to you? Then you’ve come to the right place. The IT’S OK collection aims to promote rational regulation of c*nn*bis in the Czech Republic. We are raising money for media and educational activities that will contribute to the regulation of an all-round useful herb. We – the Rational Regulation Association, which brings together most of the Czech c*nn*bis experts, journalists, businessmen and fans and lovers of this plant – are behind the collection. And you can help us in our efforts by supporting the idea of rational regulation.
It’s about cultivation
Why do we choose crowdfunding? We see in public support not only an element of participation in change, but also an arousal of public demand that can be argued with. Thus, even symbolic support can be presented as an endorsement of the changes that are about to take place. Why would we want such a thing? Because rational regulation will, without much exaggeration, help all of us, the Czech Republic. Who in particular? The weakest. The sick and the elderly, who will not be bothered when they put home-made ointment on their aching knees. Parents, because rational regulation will significantly reduce the availability of c*nn*bis to minors and reduce the illegal market. All adults who are denied the right to self-grow and self-care. The law enforcement agencies will also be helped. The police, who can deal with serious crime. The court system will have less paperwork and prisons will not be filled with people who have harmed no one. C*nn*bis will bring money and jobs, because with c*nn*bis we can grow billions.
It’s about cultureOf course, it’s not news, the benefits of c*nn*bis were not in doubt by the ancients. Alois Jirásek in his Old Czech legends describes the fertility and flourishing of our brand new country in these words: „Rye, wheat, barley, oats and millet wove thickly through the wide meadows; above them, strips of soft flax and tall hemp grew brighter beside beds full of variegated poppy flowers.” It is not for nothing that we are delighted to visit Can(n)ada… And what do you think Andulka, known to all from folk songs, did soak? Of course, c*nn*bis. So, get up of canvas, let’s support rational regulation together.
It’s about the end of prohibition
In November 2023, the Czech government commissioned the national anti-drug coordinator, Jindřich Vobořil, to draft a paragraph-by-paragraph version of the law on c*nn*bis regulation. In June 2024, the draft law was completed and is currently awaiting submission to the government.
And we want to:
1. regulated access to c*nn*bis for all persons over 18 years of age legally residing in the Czech Republic
2. the creation of a strictly regulated market with cultivation and sales licences
3. taxing and charging for production and sales
4. using the funds raised to implement a policy of prevention and harm reduction related to addictive behaviour
5. an end to the bullying of users and the criminalisation of growers
6. rehabilitation of those convicted and prosecuted for c*nn*bis-related offences
These steps will result in:
1. a reduction in the illicit market and a reduction in crime
2. reducing access to c*nn*bis for minors
3. consumer protection
4. savings for law enforcement agencies
5. increased revenue for the Treasury
6. increasing the budget for substance abuse prevention
7. creation of business and employment opportunities
8. legal certainty
9. and above all the protection of human rights and freedoms
Over 60 % of the Czech population is in favour of decriminalising c*nn*bis. C*nn*bis has long been socially acceptable. Rational regulation is the solution. And you can contribute to it. Thank you.
